STONE SKIPPING, with the previous working title DAMAGED, is the first film production of the Company's wholly-owned indirect subsidiary, Studio Take, founded by veteran movie producer, Mr. Song Dae-chan

STONE SKIPPING to be screened at the upcoming Busan International Film Festival, one of the most significant film festivals in Asia and is expected to be released in Korea in 1H2019

SINGAPORE -- 6 September 2018 - Spackman Entertainment Group Limited ("Spackman Entertainment Group" or the "Company" and together with its subsidiaries, the "Group"), one of Korea's leading entertainment production groups founded by financier Charles Spackman, wishes to announce that STONE SKIPPING, with the previous working title DAMAGED, produced by the Company's wholly-owned indirect subsidiary, Studio Take Co., Ltd. ("Studio Take"), is set to be screened at the 23rd Busan International Film Festival in October 2018.  

STONE SKIPPING is the first production to be released by Studio Take. The human drama film stars Dae-Myung Kim of GOLDEN SLUMBER (2017) & BLUEBEARD (2017), Chae-eun Jeon of ANNE OF GREEN GABLES (MUSICAL) (2017), Eui-sung Kim of TRAIN TO BUSAN (2016) & GOLDEN SLUMBER (2017) and Yun-ah Song of THE K2 (2016). The story of STONE SKIPPING revolves around an unforeseen friendship between Suk-Gu (played by Dae-Myung Kim), an adult with an intellectual disability running a rice mill in a small village, and Eun-Ji (played by Chae-eun Jeon), a runaway teenage girl from the city looking for her father. One day, an unexpected incident at the rice mill leads to their world falling apart.

Mr. Richard Lee, Interim Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director of Spackman Entertainment Group, said, "We are pleased that our wholly-owned indirect subsidiary, Studio Take, is starting to contribute to the Group's film production capability with its first film release. STONE SKIPPING will be screened at The Busan International Film Festival, which is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. Studio Take is wholly-owned by the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary Take Pictures Pte. Ltd. Founded by veteran movie producer, Mr. Song Dae-chan, Studio Take currently has developed and owns a strong lineup of 10 film projects including the co-production with the Company's indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Zip Cinema Co., Ltd. ("Zip Cinema"), of THE PRIESTS 2. THE PRIESTS 2 is the sequel to one of Korea's most commercially successful theatrical films of 2015, THE PRIESTS, which was produced by Zip Cinema.

STONE SKIPPING is in its post-production stage and expected to be released in Korea in 1H2019. (mor/*).
